Irish Discrimination.

This is a musical picture video i found on Irish discrimination in the view point of an Irish man. In this video he speaks of how they are just like any other immigrants except for the fact that for some reason they were not accepted and we not able to apply for many jobs and live a happy life where they felt accepted by society.

  1. At around 1:10 of the song the singer seems to renforce one of the stereotypes placed upon the irish, that they are prone to violance (lyric: ...my dander started rising and I'd like to black his eye...) ultimatly the story continues with him regaining his cool. What differences do you think their were between new irish immigrants and the established colonialists that would cause this type of discrimination? I can think of Religion, wealth/class.
